FAQ

How Credit Repair Works

Straight answers to the most common questions about the credit repair process.

Credit repair is the process of identifying and disputing inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable negative items on your credit reports — such as late payments, collections, charge-offs, and hard inquiries — to improve your credit score.

Most clients see noticeable improvement within 30–90 days. By law, credit bureaus have 30 days to investigate each dispute. More complex cases with multiple negative items can take several months.

Yes. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the legal right to dispute any item on your credit report that is inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable. Credit repair companies help you exercise that right.

No legitimate credit repair company can guarantee a specific result. Outcomes depend on your individual credit profile and the nature of the items being disputed. We focus on removing what's inaccurate or unverifiable — the score improvement follows.

Late payments, collections, charge-offs, repossessions, hard inquiries, and accounts with incorrect reporting details can all be disputed if they are inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable.

Filing disputes does not directly lower your score. While a dispute is under investigation, the item may be temporarily marked as disputed, but there is no penalty for exercising your rights under the FCRA.

If an item is removed because the creditor cannot verify it, it generally cannot be re-added unless the creditor later provides verification. If an item is removed due to error and is later verified, it may reappear — but this is uncommon.

Your initial credit audit is completely free. After reviewing your profile, we'll discuss any services and pricing transparently before you commit to anything.

Your credit won't fix itself — the sooner we start, the sooner you see results.
